A Tale of Two List-servs

As many of you know, NAAAD has a listserv for e-mail communication. What you may not know is that NAAAD actually has two separate lists.

Naaad-list@listserv.dartmouth.edu is well used for informal communication. This is an open list and anyone, regardless of their affiliation with Dartmouth, can subscribe. Today there are 86 subscribers to this list and as a subscriber you are able to post messages.

Our other list is newer and is restricted to official NAAAD business: NaaadINFO-list@listserv.dartmouth.edu. This is a private, moderated list. All subscribers must be affiliated with Dartmouth and all postings must be approved by a moderator. If you would like to receive official updates and information from NAAAD, please subscribe. (We promise to keep e-mails to a minimum).

	NAAAD-List	NAAAD INFO-List
Description	Casual and informal. A place for dialogue and exchange. Common posts include employment opportunities, current event in Indian Country, personal news and the occasional joke. Open to anyone who wishes to subscribe. Uncensored. Postings go directly to subscribers. 86 subscribers to date.	More formal, posts are typically in announcement format. Strictly for official NAAAD business including admissions updates, event, College news and committee reports. Restricted to alumni and affliliates of Dartmouth. Moderated list. Postings are subject to approval. All NAAAD alumni are automatically subscribed to this list unless they have opted out.
