OBITUARY JOHN A. NAHIGIAN

John Avedis Nahigian died on May 24, 2007 in Boston's Beth Israel Hospital of Wegener's granulomatosis, a rare form of vasculitis.  He was born in Boston, raised in Brookline, attended Brookline High School and then served one year in the U.S. Army.  At Dartmouth, he ran track and cross-country and received his MBA from Tuck in 1952.  Enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, he achieved the rank of captain during his four years of active duty.  He married Alice Paskerian in 1956 and together they raised three sons in Waltham, Massachusetts. 

After the Air Force he entered the investment business and over a five-decade period worked for several firms as he developed a loyal and grateful clientele.  He was a trustee and chairman of his First Armenian Church of Belmont. John and Alice loved bridge and travel, especially a trip to China in 1999 with Sam Chu and Jerry Mitchell. John is survived by his wife Alice, sons Alan, Rkichard and Douglas and two grandchildren.  Eddie Jeremiah '30 was his cousin.
