Obituary William Bruce Robertson
William Bruce Robertson (Robbie) died on April 9, 2008 at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, Illinois of pneumonia and Parkinson's disease. Born and raised in Beverley, Massachusetts, he was graduated from Kimball Union Academy. At Dartmouth he was a member of Gamma Delta Chi fraternity and majored in comparative literature and philosophy. After graduation, he joined the U. S. Navy where he spent four years as a gunnery officer and navigator.
After leaving the navy, he entered the advertising business in Chicago. By then his marriage to Mary Row had produced a daughter and three years later a son. In 1977 he opened his own agency a marketing communications firm specilaizing in research and public relations. He married again in 1982 to Ann Taylor, before retiring in 1990 and buying a place in Las Vegas, Nevada. He spent much of the year there, playing tennis and golf while finding time to visit family and travel.
Robbie is survived by his wife Ann, daughter Emily and son William and four grandchildren and three stepchidlren.
