Mac Dunlap 1952
Harry (Mac) Dunlap, Jr., born in Greenwich, CT, passed away peacefully at his home in Tucson, AZ. He graduated from Phillips Andover Academy and then from Dartmouth College in 1952. He served with the Air Force after completing flight school at Marana, AZ. He continued his life of flying, serving first with Pan American Airways in the East, and later moved to Denver where he became a Captain / senior pilot for United Airlines. Ultimately he served as an instructor in the Flight Training Center in Denver. Besides his love of flying, Mac was known and appreciated on tennis courts from Paris to Denver to Arizona. Over the years he won many awards, and his love of the game was equaled by his desire to help others become as knowledgeable and capable as he. For many summers he served as a volunteer instructor, coach and character builder for young men and women at Camp Pemigewassett, NH. Mac was a participating member of St. Philips in the Hills Episcopal Church in Tucson and dearly loved by all. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his son, Will, and three grandchildren. Mac spread his love, kindness, enthusiasm to friends, family and students. There will be a memorial service in Tucson Arizona on Monday February 27th at St. Philips in the Hills Episcopal Church 4440 N. Cambell Avenue.
