Thomas Julius Campbell died December 15, 2009 in Broomfield, Colorado after a brief struggle with cancer. A native of Denver, Tom attended Manual High School, where he served as president of the student council, was a member of the school band and orchestra, active in dramatics, played football and was a member of the wrestling team. At Dartmouth, Tom majored in Economics, was a member of the Band, WDBS, The Players and Delta Upsilon. He received an A.F.R.O.T.C. commission as an Air Force 2d Lieutenant. After distinguished service of 22 years, he retired as a Lt. Colonel, his final command being an ICBM system in North Dakota. Tom joined a subsidiary of Bell Labs upon retirement and worked as an electronics technician for seven years. He then began a 16-year teaching stint at Frontrange Community College. He always enjoyed playing the trumpet and entertaining friends. Tom is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pat, three sons, Geoffrey, Stephen and Thomas, and a daughter, Diane, and two grandchildren.
