RONALD MAYER STILLMAN died on September 6, 2010 in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Ron entered Dartmouth from Shaker Heights High School in Ohio, where he had been a successful debater and a member of the varsity tennis team. At Dartmouth, he was an English major, a member of the Glee Club, the Russian Club, and the French Club. He was a brother of Pi Lambda Phi. Following graduation, Ron earned an MBA degree at Columbia University and entered a career in finance. In 1957, he was reported working at the publishers of Gentry and American Fabrics. He then migrated into stock brokerage in New York City where he worked until retirement. He and his wife Linda (Liebowitz) raised three children, who gave them five grandchildren. After Linda’s death, Ron remarried Catherine Kramer. He continued his interest in music, playing piano and attending concerts and opera. His family’s summers in the Berkshires gave the Stillmans access to a great variety of musical enjoyment.
