Rick and Hila Lyman will host a tailgate party in the large paved parking lot on Soldier's Field Road and the Charles River. It is right across from a large motel (think it's a Days Inn) and just past (west) of TV station WBZ--the lot is on the right after you pass WBZ.
We will be in a silver Toyota Highlander. We hope to have hamburgers--subject to our being able top grill--but if not, we'll have something to eat. There will be beer, wine, bloody mary's, and soda plus munchies. Cost is $10 per classmate--that includes spouse, significant other and / or kids.
PLEASE let Rick know if you are coming and how many people you'll have. He needs a head count.

Class Mini-reunion, October 13-15, 2006 (Homecoming weekend)
2003 Fall Mini-Reunion Oct 3 - 5 (See Details)
Save the Dates - Friday October 3 through Sunday October 5 for our 2003
Mini-Reunion in Hanover. Friday seminars include a discussion with incoming
freshpeople on the book they are asked to read before arrival " Pattern
Recognition" by William Gibson (you can read the first two chapters
on Amazon.com and then buy it for $18.17 new or $8.74 used) plus a lecture
and tours of the Hood's newest exhibit "Coming of Age in Ancient
Greece" which travels next to the Getty in Los Angeles - see it
here first (and free). Cocktails at the Adlers that evening with dinner
options. Class Meeting with our Class Scholars on Saturday followed by
tailgating and the game/hiking/shopping/finishing off the conversations
that started in Chicago. Dinner in the elegant Webster Room of the Hanover
Inn followed by voices around the piano. Sunday brunch in Collis and
more outdoor activities. Autumn colors should be magnificent, early October
timing may give us a real Indian Summer. Plan a New England vacation
around the event!"
When it was announced at our Class Meeting that the college had moved
Homecoming back to Nov. 2 next year, there was a unanimous cry to have
our Class mini-reunion earlier, when the weather would still be good
and the leaves at their best. We've settled on the Columbus Day weekend,
October 11,12,13&14. The Classes of '59 and '61 are switching also,
so we're working on some joint activities for Friday (likely a seminar
built around an exceptional exhibition on Orozco then at the Hood Museum)
and Sunday (likely a brunch at the new ski lodge with some hiking options
to build up or work off appetites). Saturday will be just for our Class,
with our morning meeting, tailgating, game (Yale) or more vigorous adventures
and our usual Class Dinner in the evening. More specifics after our mini-reunion
Chair Roger Hanlon moves gracefully into retirement at year end. In the
meantime, mark your calendars and, as its a busy weekend, let me know
by January if you'll need a room - if there's enough interest, we may
reserve some condos.

the self-directed tour pamphlets are excellent. And don't miss the other
