Class-60-announce Listserv

The class now has an announce only Listserv (broadcase email). It has been populated with all the email addresses that the college knows (about half the class). You will find out early about important class events via an email from the Listserv. We do not anticipate sending more than 1 email per month and most likely less. Only Ken Johansen and the webmaster have permission to send items to the list for distribution to the whole class. Only Ken is likely to send anything, but Walt will handle the administation aspects. Anyone in the class can either join or leave the list.  Visit http://listserv.dartmouth.edu/scripts/wa.exe?A0=CLASS-60-ANNOUNCE and do it all online. Alternately visit the class website, http://www.dartmouth.org/classes/60/ and follow the instructions there. After you join you have to wait for Ken or more likely Walt to approve joining. We hope the information is interesting enough and occasional enough that none of you will want to leave the list. Please send suggestions for content of the next email to Ken, kejohansen@msn.com.

 

As an added incentive to join the list, someone who knows your full name and class can join as you (a form of identity theft) and receive the announcements (not much of a risk as all they receive is an occasional email that is probably only interesting to a class member). If you are already on the list, they won't succeed.
