Nelly Mendoza-Mendoza '19
"Ancient Greek Gold Granulation"
Nelly is an Economics major. She lives in Houston, TX, but was born in Honduras and has lived in Miami, FL, Austin, TX, and New Orleans, LA. During her time at Dartmouth, Nelly has learned how to ski and how to make jewelry. She is interested in starting her own fashion line business and is passionate about design. Nelly is part of the Hill Winds Society, Green Key Society, Winter Carnival Council, a Dartmouth Leadership Attitudes and Behaviors Facilitator, and has worked as a teaching assistant at the Donald Claflin Jewelry Studio since her freshman fall.

Connor Pollock '17
"Mokume Gane at Dartmouth"
Learning a Japanese technique to create woodgrain patterns with metals
Connor is a '17 from northeast Iowa. Connor started with jewelry after he began working at the Claflin Jewelry Studio during his freshman year and has stuck with it ever since. He tries to incorporate metalwork into other aspects of his life. Connor enjoys introducing aspiring smiths to the world of metalwork, and hopes to bring experiences in Mokume Gane to his studio, his home, and to the wider Dartmouth community. The metallurgy that Mokume Gane presents the essence of the union of craft and science, and Connor hopes to use his learning to transition from simple forgework to pieces that are both beautiful and functional.

Composing and recording a Raga based on medieval Indian devotional poetry
Aditya continues to perform throughout the U.S. and is recording new music and tutoring music students as well.

during the Cultural Revolution.
Gavin is currently working as a copy editor at Korea JoongAng Daily, the English language version of a South Korean national daily newsletter.

Sera is currently an MFA student in Sculpture with foci in curatorial practice and art education at the Rinehart School of Sculpture at the Maryland Institute College of Art.

A documentary about the black doll community
Samantha is currently working as an Associate Producer at Astrea Media, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating innovative film and interactive multi-media projects about human rights issues that generate positive social change. "Why Do You Have Black Dolls?" was shown at numerous film festivals across the country, winning several awards

"Tanzanian Kangas: Wrapping Women in Hope"
An innovative public health project that promoted health messages
on indigenous clothing to improve maternal health.
Sarah is currently an MBA Candidate at Harvard Business School. She spent several years working as Implementation Director and Team Lead at Epic, a developer of software for health care organizations.

A documentary on spinal cord injured persons in India
Jonathan lives in Dehli and serves as the director of ESCIP Trust India, an advocacy organization he founded with his mother that works to empower spinal cord injured persons.

Olivia is currently working as a Development Producer for Left/Right TV in New York. Prior to joining the company, Olivia worked in production at NBCUniversal, in development at Columbia Pictures, and on a variety of independent films.

Ahmadu is working as a campus recruiter for Flatiron Heath, a software platform that connects cancer centers across the country with a mission to improve treatment and accelerate research.

Matthew Fujisawa '06
"From the Archive to the Stage: Culture and Memory in Post WWII
Anglophone and French Theater."
A play concerning the parallels and intersections of the Japanese-American
internment camps and the Holocaust during WWII.
Matthew received his MBA from Harvard Business School as is currently working as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in London. He is also the co-founder of Herald Health, an early-stage IT venture that works to improve health care delivery and outcomes by helping doctors deal with data overload.

Grant received his Master of Architecture from the University of California – Berkeley and is currently working as a Senior Architect/Designer at Group 70 International in Honolulu, Hawai'i.

Christopher McMullen-Laird '05
"1791: Death of a Genius.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his Masterworks of the Last Year."
A senior fellowship project including lectures and performances
on the last year of Mozart's life
Christopher received a Deutscher Akademishcher Austauschdeinst (DAAD), the German equivalent of a Fulbright Scholarship, to study for a year at the Franz Liszt music academy. Christopher has been working in artist management, behind-the-scenes at several opera houses, and as a conductor in Germany.

Sheridan is living in Oakland, CA and working in television production. His credits include several Discovery Channel series. Jessica received a BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA from Yale. She is working as an independent artist and her paintings has been exhibited throughout the northeast.
