Class of 1961
Legacy 2006 Milestones |
Legacy Passes Half-Million Dollars
The Class of 1961, through prior years and 40th and 45th Reunion efforts, has now raised more than $500,000 for the “Class of 1961 Legacy: The American Tradition in Performance”. That is an outstanding achievement from our small class, and even more so since it was accomplished over a relatively short period of time and the contributions never counted toward the Dartmouth Alumni Fund. Jeff James and the HopkinsCenter management are extremely pleased with our Class and its accomplishment with respect to this unique endeavor. Our thanks go out to David Birney, Oscar Arslanian and our other classmates who worked on this project from its inception several years ago, and to the many, many classmates who contributed to this project, many more than one time. A new glossy high quality HopkinsCenter booklet just came out and, I believe, was mailed to all alumni and friends of HopkinsCenter. It contained the schedule and descriptions/pictures of all upcoming events during the coming fiscal year. It also contained an insert full page sheet acknowledging the Class of 1961 and its efforts with respect to the ’61 Legacy Fund.
