New Orleans Jazzman by Ann deLorge

Dartmouth Class of 1962 traveled to the Big Easy on February 17, 2005 for four days of fun and good fellowship (zum, zum, zum) to celebrate our collective 65th birthdays New Orleans style. Click here for the schedule of events and here for a list of those who attended.

Monteleone Hotel

The Class was back! And what could be classier than our pied-a-terre for this road trip, the "Grande Dame" of the French Quarter, the Hotel Monteleone, a proud landmark since 1886. It's been said that "the French Quarter begins in the lobby of the Hotel Monteleone."

Home to Hemingway, Faulkner, Welty, Williams, we hope the Monteleone may just have inspired some attendees to finish that Great American Novel or Play they've been threatening to write now that they are retired (or are about to).

Monteleone Lobby
Antoine's Restaurant

Dinner at Antoine's! Established in 1840, Antoine's legendary French and Creole cuisine delighted and astounded our most discriminating palates.

For some it was Fonds d'artichauts Bayard to start followed by Poulet sauce Rochameau or Noisettes d'agneau AlciatoreThayer Hall was never like this!
