Rick Isaacson

ISAACSON--Rick, age 67, died of pancreatic cancer on February 13 at his home in
Brooklyn. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Phyllis, sons Andy and Rabbi
Daniel (Liora), sister Arina (Sandy), and grandson Elijah. During his 40-year
tenure at IMG, Rick helped create the seminal sports agency's client
management, corporate consulting and sports promotions businesses. He
founded IMG Licensing in the 1980s, growing it into the world's biggest
independent celebrity, trademark and event licensing organization. Highly
respected as a brilliant marketing mind, Rick created successful licensing
programs for renowned athletes, brands and properties, including Arnold
Palmer, Major League Baseball and Steinway. He mentored hundreds of
younger professionals, and his generous spirit, integrity and unique humor
inspired colleagues around the world. His family and friends will miss him
dearly. A memorial service will be held on March 22 from 12-2pm at Plymouth
Church in Brooklyn Heights. Donations in Rick's memory may be made to
Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP), the Mohonk Preserve and the
Russell Ferber Foundation Scholarship.
