Edward Ehrenkranz came to Dartmouth from West Orange High School, New Jersey, where he was in the National Honor Society, Newspaper, Glee Club, Dramatics, and Debating. He lived in Russell Sage his Freshman year. The following is from a newspaper account in the New York Times (8/21/62)
GRINDEWALD, Switzerland
The Swiss police identified today a young American tourist who died Sunday on 8,806-foot Faulhorn peak. They said he was Edward Ehrenkranz, 19 years old, of West Orange NJ, who went up the peak in sneakers, slipped and fell down a precipice.
