Irving C. Tullar


Irving Conde Tullar passed away on June 1, 2002 at his home in New York City after a long battle with cancer.

Irving came to Dartmouth from Colegio Americano in Los Angeles. At Dartmouth he was a Classics major and an active member of the Film Society in his Freshman and Sophomore years.

After Dartmouth Irving attended Harvard University for graduate studies in Comparative Literature, earning his Master's Degree and working toward his Ph.D. He spent most of his working life as a medical indexer, living and working in New York City. He served on panels of the American Society of Indexers and was a contributer to a 1999 book, "Indexing Specialties: Medicine".

Irving is survived by half-brothers Allen I Tullar and Robert J. Tullar.
