CLASS NOTESJanuary/February 1980

We've turned the corner on a new decade and find ourselves face to face with our 15th reunion celebration this June. It's cold, raw, and drab in much of the U.S. now. Ahh, but June in Hanover will be warm, vibrant, and very bright green. Bring the family and spend a wonderful weekend with old friends!

Jay Vincent is a petrochemicals buyer for FMC Corporation in Chicago, work that he now classifies as "exciting and busy" in light of the various energy and resource challenges that have developed. Jay and Andy recently welcomed Don Schwarz, a practicing psychiatrist, to their Wilmette, Ill., community.

Gina Michelle was born to Kirk Viet and his wife back on June 12. Now Kirk, a doctor, has three children and two budding baby sitters Brian, six, and Karen, four.

Douglas Hill, recently married to Alexandra Breed, is practicing law in Meredith, N.H., and living in nearby Gilford. Peter Reichard is an associate with the New York law firm of Coudert Brothers. George Browning has a job I'd like - district travel manager with American Express Company, based in Santa Barbara, Calif. (Check out the Hanover Inn in June, George!)

Herb Hendriks Jr. has completed his plastic surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and has moved, with Joan, Scott (nine), and Dana (four), to Rocky Mount, N.C., and opened - quite understandably - a plastic surgery practice. Herb and John Reinisch will have plenty to talk about at reunion, since John is assistant professor of plastic surgery at the University of Missouri in Columbia.

Ken Sharpe, a political science teacher at Swarthmore College, was a visiting professor at Dartmouth last summer, teaching introduction to comparative government and politics. His special field is Latin America, with a focus on Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Ken Taylor has been elected a trustee of Robert Packer Hospital in Sagre, Pa., his birthplace. Ken, now living in Wyalusing, Pa., is vice president of J. V. Taylor Inc., a meat packing corporation.

Make plans now to support our special Alumni Fund drive and to attend reunion weekend in Hanover on June 13-15, 1980. We only celebrate our 15th once!
