HOME WHAT'S NEW
APRIL 1, 2012
Fellow '71s;The weather smiled upon us and we had a great turnout last Sunday for the Dartmouth '71 Team Zrike Boston MS Walk! Including spouses, we had 16 '71s in attendance in addition to a large number of family and friends of Steve and his wife Sarah. Steve and Sarah were very appreciative of the '71s in attendance and of the '71s who couldn't attend but contributed to the fundraising efforts for the MS Walk. Team Zrike raised over $16,000-a new record for them! The overall Boston MS Walk will have raised over $600,000 by the time all of the contributions are accounted for. In attendance on Sunday were: Steve and Sarah Zrike, Peter and Marcia Pratt, Dave and Pat Brooks, Tony and Julie Fitzpatrick, Pete Webster and his daughter Maggie, Charlie Collier, Andrew Hodgdon, Garrett Orazem, Janet Rosa and yours truly and my wife, Ilene. We made our way into Harvard Square after the Walk and spent several hours recovering over brunch and fortified beverages! A good time was had by all and we look forward to growing '71 participation in this annual event. Thank you to all of you who supported this worthwhile and enjoyable event and we hope to see you next year!Be on the alert for upcoming information about a Boston '71 dinner sometime in May. This next event will be held midweek somewhere in the greater Boston area. We look forward to seeing you there!Best,Michael
To my Dartmouth Family:
What can I say! You are the best friends a guy could ever ask for. You'll never know how much I appreciate the show of support you graciously gave me on Sunday. It was as humbling as it was overwhelming.
The Team photo below shows only a part of the group. Over 70 showed up to be part of Team Zrike (plus or minus a dog or two!) We collected over $16,000, shattering our old team record. What a day!
Your participation is just one more reason that I am proud to be part of the Dartmouth family. I am truly gifted to count you all as friends.
If I missed anyone with this email, please pass on my thanks.
