  • 2nd ANNUAL San Francisco "Major Mini" to be coordinated with the America's Cup Sailing Regatta. July 11-14. Here is Malcolm Jones's description of the weekend so far with tentative attendees:

  •  I estimate the total costs for someone doing all events (excluding costs for transit and hotel) to be  about $450.

                                Thursday July 11:              Welcome cocktails and dinner at the Olympic Club downtown SF  (est. cost:  $60/

    Friday July 12:                    All day Wine Tour of Sonoma Valley.   Includes transit to/from SF, gourmet wine/food pairing lunch plus two or three  wine tours/tastings.    Est. $200/

                        SF Cocktails &  Dinner (Casual):   TBD   (est. $30/) 

    Saturday  July 13:             Morning:   TBD    Options include Walking Tour (China Town or North Beach: est. $20/) or Guided Walk through Presidio (free) or Sailing on the Bay.

                                                    Afternoon:   1:15 – 5:00     America’s Cup Louis Vuitton Challenge     Grand Stand seating   (est. $40/)

                                                    Evening:      Cocktails at Newton home then walk to a great dinner on Union St.  (est. dinner cost  $50-60)

    Sunday  July 14:                Morning:   Docent led tour of Impressionist on the Water exhibit at Legion of Honor in SF (part of Fine Arts Museums)   (est. cost  $25/)

                                                    Farewell Lunch:   TBD,  probably at Legion of Honor      (est. cost  $20/)

  • Homecoming Weekend is October 11-13 against Columbia (possibly a win???).  Highlights include Friday Night Dinner in the DOC and Class seminars with Dartmouth Professors Oct 11-13. More info to come.
