| Dear Fellow Alumni,
The Dartmouth Alumni Council is pleased to notify you that the council's Alumni Liaison Committee (ALC) has completed its third annual report to the Board of Trustees. The report is available online and is divided into two parts (the report and its appendices) for easier viewing. The ALC annual report summarizes the council's activities for the year 2009-2010, including interactions with the trustees and College, and alumni communications with council representatives and the ALC. The ALC is comprised of elected/nominated members from the Alumni Council, the Association of Alumni Executive Committee, and the general alumni body. The ALC gathers feedback from individual alumni and shares this information with the trustees, the College administration, and the general alumni body. Flow charts illustrating how the ALC functions and interacts with alumni groups and the College are also available online. As Board chair Steve Mandel '78 affirms above, the trustees are listening to you and are committed to this two-way dialogue with the alumni through your council representatives and the ALC. It's a great time to communicate with the College. We welcome your feedback on the report, and ways that we can improve our communications with the alumni. Please send your suggestions and questions to ALC@alum.dartmouth.org, and we'll be sure to respond. You can also find your council representative for 2010-2011 in our online directory. The members of the Alumni Council appreciate your communications and are looking forward to another great year of dialogue with you. Best regards, Janine Avner '80 Tom Peisch '70
