It is with great sadness that I (Andy Steele T'79) report that our good friend and classmate Jerry Daly, 48, passed away yesterday (2/9/02) at home in Marion (MA) after a long battle with brain cancer. He leaves Anne and 5 children, Jeremiah, Sarah, Benjamin, William, and Jessica. The two loves of his life were his family and golf.

At Dartmouth, he quickly became the team's number one player, beginning a run of 4 consecutive NCAA Championship appearances and 4 honorable mention All-America awards. He graduated in 1976 with a BA in economics.

A member of the Kittansett Club in Marion, MA, he served as President for 3 years. He won 9 consecutive club championships there, and was club champion of Crown Point Club in Springfield, Vt. for 5 years.

After Tuck, Jerry was marketing manager for FootJoy shoes, then moved to Acushnet (parent company of Titleist) as national sales manager.
