Rudman, Alan H. (2/26/2004)

From our 30th reunion memorial service

Alan Rudman was the son of former U.S. Sen. Warren B. Rudman and his wife Shirley. He was on the varsity football team, and a 1983 graduate of Boston College Law School. He died unexpectedly at his home in Maine, in 2004.


From the Manchester Union Leader, March 1, 2004:

Alan H. Rudman, 47, died unexpectedly Feb. 26, 2004, at his home in Bridgton, Maine.

He was born in Nashua, N.H., the son of former U.S. Senator Warren B. and Shirley Rudman, on July 9, 1956.

Alan was a 1975 graduate of Nashua High School and a 1979 graduate of Dartmouth College, where he played varsity football. He graduated in 1983 from Boston College Law School and was a member of the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania bar associations.

Family members, in addition to his parents, of Hollis, include two sisters, Laura R. Robie of Amherst and Debra R. Gilmore of Wayland, Mass.; a nephew, and two nieces.

Alan’s family has established the Alan H. Rudman Athlete Scholarship fund at Nashua High School. The scholarship is awarded annually to a needy student who is both a scholar and an athlete. If you are interested in contributing to the scholarship, you can mail a check to:
