Pepper, Edward L. (1/10/1993)

From our 30th reunion memorial service
Edward Pepper, Jr. came to Dartmouth from Belmont, Massachusetts. He majored in Mathematics and engineering and was a member of Gamma Delta Chi. Ned was a software engineer and passed away in 1993.

EDWARD LANNING PEPPER, JR, a software engineer died on January 10, 1993. Ned graduated from Belmont Hill School in Belmont, Mass. While in high school, he was the photo editor of his school paper, and was a member of both the yearbook staff and the glee club. He was an avid skier and enjoyed ski jumping.

A Mathematics and Engineering major at Dartmouth, he received a citation in an upper-level math class. John Cuadrado, Ned’s Math 47 professor, indicated that Ned was “cited for his excellent performance. Particularly noteworthy was his implementation of an interactive graphics package using the concepts of picture definition languages and syntax directed translation.” During his sophomore year, Ned studied in Blois, France. He was a member of Gamma Delta Chi fraternity.

Ned died at home in Arlington, Mass and was survived by his wife, Alison.
