D’79 Northern California Minireunion

We had a small but sweet ‘79 celebration at Steelhead Brewery in Burlingame. I was very happy to be joined for some fun and not so serious billiards by Buddy Teevens, his lovely and witty wife Kirsten, and Bruce “Mac” McElhinney. Deb Sullivan, wife of the illustrious Kevin “Sully” Sullivan, served up libations from behind the bar. Mac, apparently tuning up for a 6:30 a.m. tee time the next day, seemed to have his eye squarely on the ball and he pocketed the majority of balls during our soirée. I, on the other hand, grazed many balls and made a few. Buddy and Kirsten made a great pair as they always have—wisecracking their way around the pool table. We all did our share of laughing. It was a special night.

PS I should note that our showing was light in part due to the fact that there was a ‘79 gathering in early February, sponsored by Thayer Adams and Greg Hartman ‘80. Too many events in life, too little time…
