Class of 1985 Memorial Fund
Class of 1985 Memorial Fund
The 1985 Memorial Fund was established as a way for our class to acknowledge the passing of one of our classmates or a close family member. When a classmate dies, Claudia Egger, Memorial Fund Committee Chair, will send a condolence card to the family from the Class of 1985. Currently we are working with a classmate, Daniel Heyman, to design this card.
At our 20th reunion Class Meeting, those present voted to fund a Memorial Endowment Fund as part of the Memorial Committee. We voted to fund this endowment with $2500 in memory of those classmates who have died in the preceding 25 years with an additional class donation of $1500 per year up to our 25th reunion.
We have also added a line to the Class Dues request card for families and individuals to make their own donations to this fund in memory of a loved one or classmate. Our goal is to use this fund to establish a Class of 1985 Scholarship. We must reach $10,000 in order to establish this scholarship. Please notify Claudia Egger (cegger@elp.rr.com) when you know of a classmate's or close loved one's death so that we may send an acknowledgment. Also, please consider making a donation in that person's memory.
What better way to honor our classmates than providing another person with the means to attend Dartmouth?
