Frequently Asked Questions

I give to the annual Alumni Fund, what's the difference?

While the Dartmouth College (Alumni) Fund is focused on financially supporting the ongoing operations of Dartmouth College, your class dues support the ongoing operations of the '96 Class. We don't receive financial support from the Alumni Fund.

What happened to the option to pay class dues but not receive a magazine?

Two years ago, the high cost of the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine threatened the financial stability of our class treasury. As a result, the class executive committee made a difficult decision to send the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine only to those who opted in to receiving it.

During that two years, we worked with other classes to highlight the financial burden related to the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine subscription model. This past year, the Trustees decided to help subsidize the cost of the magazine as long as all eligible classmates received a copy. As part of this new policy, we are happy to have reinstated Dartmouth Alumni Magazine subscriptions.
