Class Notes - July/August 2005

Hello '99s! I hope you're all having a fantastic summer! I am happy to write that weddings abound this summer in our class.

Muhammad Hutasuhut and Catherine McCarthey are exchanging vows at the Primrose Cottage in Atlanta this August. Our class will be well represented at their wedding. Mark Kutolowski will be officiating and Jen Anderson will do a reading in the ceremony. Justin Evans will be the best man and James Min will serve as groomsman. Others at the wedding include Aiyana Thompson, Grace Eboigbe, Jing Wang '02, Anna Tsouhlarakis, Nehomah Thundercloud '97 and Denise Hobson.

Catherine has other wedding news to share as well. She writes that Sonia Price and Russel Kallstrom '00 will be getting married in Hawaii in October and Sara Carmichael was engaged to her boyfriend in February.

Geoff Walford writes that Ken Kriwanek has also tied the knot, marrying his long-time girlfriend Megan Lovelace in St. Helena, California. Geoff writes: "The ceremony and reception took place during perfect weather on the beautiful grounds of White Sulphur Springs Inn and Spa in Napa Valley. Along with me, Dan Donahue, Corby Kelly, Gabe Levy, Tami Anderson, Joe Fitzgerald '98, Derek Soller '00 and John ‘Tank' Webb '01 were on hand to celebrate the start of Ken and Megan's new life together. Ken and Megan had the entire resort rented out for the weekend, so the dancing lasted late into the night and there were even rumors that a pong tournament took place in the resort's recreation room in the wee hours of the morning."

Finally, Lauren Cornella writes that Victoria Dahir is engaged to Brian Zak (Colorado University 1994) during a recent vacation to Vail, Colorado. Victoria and Brian live in Denver and are planning to wed in Northern California sometime next year. Victoria has been the director of training at BlueMartini.com for the past five years and Brian works as a software programmer.

Congratulations to all the newlyweds and those soon to be married, and good look in your new lives together!

In other news Diana Wheeler reports that Anna Tsouhlarakis opened her first solo art exhibit. The exhibit, held at the Downtown Contemporary Art Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, last April, was titled "Fixations" and featured a combination of photography, sculpture and video art. Diana reports an amazing turnout, including herself, Anna's boyfriend Daron Carreiro '02, Phoebe Suina '98, James Simermeyer '00 and Adam Carvell '02. Congratulations, Ana!

That's all the news for now. Enjoy the summer weather and send me any news you would like to share with the class!
