Class Notes - March/April 2005

Hello 99's! Winter is drawing to a close, and spring is fast approaching. For many of us, that means that dark, wind-chilled days are becoming warmer and brighter. Spring is also a time of great change, and, while this issue's Notes will be brief, we have some good news coming from our alumni in Hanover.

First, Ann Sharfstein writes that she and Dan Mielcarz are now the proud parents of a baby girl, Sadie Eleanor Mielcarz. Sadie was born on 2 December at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and weighed in at 7 pounds, 7 ounces. Dan and Ann are happily living in Lebanon, while Dan pursues his Ph.D. in Immunology at Dartmouth. Ann is currently on maternity leave from her role as a Clinical Instructor at the Stern Center for Language and Literacy in White River Junction.

Rex Morey also has some great news to share. In February, Rex moved from Boston to Hanover and took a new role as Young Alumni Coordinator at Dartmouth. Rex is very excited about the new job, which will gives him the chance to find new ways of strengthening our alumni community. Rex writes: "Basically, I'll be paid to travel around the country and do all the things I have been doing as an alumni volunteer in Boston for the past 5 years." Our young alumni community will greatly benefit from Rex's love for Dartmouth and his extensive leadership experience within the Class.

That's all the news for now. Have a great spring, and keep me updated on any news you would like to share.
