Class Notes - March 2004

Happy New Year everyone. Don’t forget to sign up for the upcoming fifth Reunion (June 18-20, 2004) at http://www.dartmouth.org/classes/99/reunion/index.html.

Pamela Smith and Roy Wildeman recently announced their wedding engagement. Roy proposed during a spring trip visiting the wine regions of Champagne and Burgundy in France. Pamela graduated from Harvard Business School in June and now is working in consumer products marketing at The Gillette Company in Boston. Roy is currently finishing his Masters Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration at MIT.

Jennifer Blair writes, "I was married to my Columbia medical school classmate Sam Eaton on May 24, 2003 in Franconia, NH. Jill Papsdorf was a bridesmaid. Jeannine Murray-Roman played the violin during the ceremony. Other Dartmouth grads at the celebration were Kate Turpin, Shannon Kinzebach, Susan Chesley, and Josh Papsdorf ’98. Professors Mary Lou Guerinot and Rob McClung were there as well. Sam and I are living in Boston, where I'm an ob/gyn intern at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center."

As an update to a mention I included in a past issue of Class Notes, Lauren Brenner wrote with some details of her July 2003 engagement to Michael Goody ’98. "Michael and I met while at Dartmouth and we dated for several years. Naturally, I was very excited when he proposed quite elaborately at the St. Regis Hotel in NYC! Michael and I will be married in August 2004 at the University Club in Manhattan. We plan to honeymoon in Hawaii, and for now, maintain our apartment residence in Chelsea. Michael currently works for Deutsche Bank Securities in Investment Banking and I'm currently a Marketing Manager for Time Inc.'s Interactive Marketing division. I've actually been working for the same company since graduating from Dartmouth nearly five years ago - how many people can say that?!"

Lauren continued, "In other news, my dear friend, Leigh Eisenman, was recently married to Jake Nemetz (Columbia Univ. '89). This beautiful wedding celebration was held in Ft. Worth, Texas - Leigh's hometown - on November 15, 2003. Several ’99s were in attendance and also in the wedding party. Bridesmaids: Lauren Brenner, Regina Bienstock, Allison Fisch, and Jennifer Kaye. House Party: Kimberly Champlin, Karen Ho, Allison Weiner, Jennifer Blankenship Demoff, Sheryl Koval, Adrienne Wilson Wagner. Other Dartmouth guests also included: Michael Goody '98 and fellow '99s Jennifer Fulton, Amy Stone Altizer, Jake Shields, David Wagner, Katie O'Connor, Kevin Demoff, and David Berenson. The new Mrs. Nemetz is presently an associate with the law firm of Willkie Farr & Gallagher in New York. She graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2003. Leigh's husband, also an attorney, is employed by the law firm of Dewey Ballantine in New York."

Sheryl Koval wrote in to give an update on a new addition to the Dartmouth family: "Kim (Miller) Hill gave birth to her first child on July 2, 2003. She had an adorable baby boy named Hagan Tucker Hill. Mom and baby are both doing very well. Kim is so incredibly happy!"
