Class Notes - May/June 2010

Hello, '99s! I hope you are all enjoying the warmer, brighter spring weather now that the record-breaking snows have subsided.

Julie Tallman Rhodes had quite a lot of news to share. Julie reports that she and husband Chris Rhodes '97 relocated to Brazil after Chris took an 18-month assignment at John Deere. Julie is staying at home with her 2-year-old son Tucker and their infant daughter Whitney Kathleen, who was born in October. The Rhodes family have made the most of their time in Brazil but look forward to returning back to the States in June or July.

Julie also writes that Ada Anon married Andrew Hunter (Stanford '01) in New York last summer. A strong Dartmouth contingent celebrated their nuptials, including Karen Ho, Carolyn Wang, Jenny Hume Orr, Lauren Williams, Catherine Strickler Gaul, Liza Tedesco Milesnick, Kyle Marchesseault, Marissa Howe '98, Lauren Cornella, Susie Rudders and Case Dorkey along with many non-Dartmouth significant others.

Finally, Julie adds that Karen and her husband, Will Cobbett, celebrated the birth of their daughter Lillian Leung. She writes, "Lillian is just beautiful and I can't wait to get her and Whitney together!"

In other news Matt Shevlin writes that he and wife Erica Cashman recently discovered that they are expecting twin boys in April or May. Matt knows he has his work cut out for him, but has appreciated the tremendous support of his Dartmouth family. He writes: "I have been getting constant tips and advice from recent fathers Brad Verber, Bob Bourque '96, Chris Davidson, Dan Thibeault '98 and Chris Sullivan-all of whom claim to be 'Dado of the Year.' " Good luck to Matt and all the other '99 dads!

That's all the news for now. I hope you all enjoy the spring and I look forward to sharing more news with you soon!
