Dear DCGA Members,

Welcome to the Dartmouth Club of Georgia! Whether you are a recent transplant to the Peach State or have been attending events for years, I hope this note finds you well. Certainly, we look forward to your involvement with our club. There are so many ways for you to participate!

The simplest – and most fun – way is to attend events. The Dartmouth Club of Georgia aims to provide high quality programs that bring alumni together, including, of course, our perennial events, Dartmouth Night at a local pub and our annual Holiday Party. Other events from this past year included a reception for President and Mrs. Wright at the Atlanta Aquarium; a lecture and private tour of the King Tut exhibit by Professor Susan Ackerman; several socials for young alumni; a visit with students traveling on the environmentally-conscious Big Green Bus; and a BBQ with the Rugby team.

This year also promises to be an exciting one for our Club. We have already scheduled the annual Holiday party on Sunday, December 13 from 2-5 p.m. at Bill Pike's home. In January, we'll enjoy a special night at the High Museum's exhibit, The Hand of Genius: Leonardo da Vinci , accompanied by Bart Thurber, Curator of European Art at Dartmouth's Hood Museum. More events are in the works, and we are always looking for new events and activities. So if you have an idea, please share it. If you are willing to help plan or host an event, even better! Please do not hesitate to contact any of our officers to share your ideas.

Another way to get involved in the Club is by serving as an alumnus interviewer. We always need alums who would be interested in interviewing applicants. If you would like to participate, please click here to email our District Enrollment Director, Lou Spelios '95 .

Finally, the Dartmouth Club of Georgia continues to thrive because of the generosity of Georgia's Dartmouth community. For the 2009-2010 year, dues are just $35 for the Class of 2003 and earlier, $15 for Classes of 2004-2009, and free for students and parents.
