As many of you know, The Dartmouth Outing Club is
celebrating its 100th anniversary this year! One of the
events to mark this occasion is the DOC’s Centennial
Appalachian Trail in a Day hike scheduled for Saturday,
October 10, 2009. Since the closest point of the AT is a
bit west of the Piedmont Club’s territory, we will not be
organizing a group for the hike, but if you would like to
participate yourself or with other Dartmouth alums you can
register on their website:

There is a map feature on the website you can use to mark
the trail and see where others are hiking.

The Piedmont Club is planning our own celebration of the
DOC anniversary with a trail workday on the Mountains to Sea Trail October 24.
