Local Alum, John Replogle ‘88 Nominated for Trustee
John Replogle ‘88 of Raleigh, NC has been nominated as a candidate for one of the two open Trustee positions. With over 20 years of experience in the global consumer product industry from Unilever to Guinness Bass, he currently he heads up Burt’s Bees as President and CEO, recently moving its headquarters to the American Tobacco Campus in Downtown Durham. An active and engaged NC resident, he serves on the boards of Habitat for Humanity, Ravenscroft School, Terracycle, and Duke University Corporate Sustainability Initiative. Holding an MBA from Harvard Business School, he is also a recognized leader in corporate social responsibility, environmental and sustainability causes. Replogle received the NC Sustainable Business Leadership Award, the Triangle “Green” Leader of the Year, and was also mentioned by PR Newswire for Socially Responsible leadership. Even with his busy schedule, he has always found time for his alma mater, serving as class president, class agent, and Executive Committee member. He is part of a proud Big Green family, with father David ‘53 and brother William ‘77. He currently lives in Raleigh with his wife and four daughters.
