Volunteer

The Dartmouth Club of the Piedmont is an active volunteer organization. We welcome and encourage participation at any level. Here are some of the areas you can get to get involved in.

Interviewing Applicants

Interviewing Dartmouth applicants is rewarding personally and invaluable to the College’s future. Help us continue the tradition of alumni interviewing for our alma mater.

Book Awards

The Dartmouth Club Book Award Program, begun in 1977, honors outstanding juniors at local high schools, who are selected by the staff of the school. This program is a very effective enrollment tool and promotes the name of Dartmouth College among the high school students residing in the various participating club areas. The Dartmouth Club of the Piedmont began participating in the program during the 2004-2005 school year. During the 2007-2008 school year, we had 22 participating schools, 16 alums making school contacts, book award presentations or both, and 19 alums sponsoring the awards.

Interested in participating as a school contact or book award presenter? Please contact our book award chair Kristin Carlock ‘88.

Interested in sponsoring a book? Please contact our treasurer Tom Crafts ‘04.

Events

Local events are a great way to reconnect with the Dartmouth community. We strive to include a variety of events in different locations all year long. There are always opportunities to help with developing, organizing, and running these activities.
