Twin Cities Kellogg Club - Fall 2005 Marketing Summit

Who: Angela Lee, Professor of Marketing, Kellogg School of Management.  Angela is a co-author of the recently released book “Kellogg on Branding” which hit the book stores in September 2005.

What: Professor Lee will address alternate routes of persuasion and the foundations upon which product evaluations and brand choices are based. When consumers are reviewing product information, they may find this information easy or difficult to process due to their prior advertising exposure experience. This processing ease or difficulty can affect decisions in three ways:
1.) probability of brand choice
2.) favorable brand evaluations
3.) less favorable brand evaluations depending on consumer inferences.

Professor Lee will discuss how advertising exposures can bring about these effects and the types of messages that will appeal to various consumer segments.

When: 11:30-1:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2005

Where: Marriott City Center, 30 South 7th St., Minneapolis

Annual Dinner with Jeff Immelt '78

The Annual Dinner is the crowning event for the Club each year. It is intended to be an opportunity for all local Alums to get together with old and new friends that don't get to see each other regularly. Details for the dinner are as follows:

This year, we are very excited and very fortunate to have Jeff Immelt '78, Chairman and CEO of General Electric and an active member of the Dartmouth Community, speak at our Annual Dinner. Jeff's topics will be innovation in business and Dartmouth. Jeff gave a memorable Commencement Address to the Class of 2004 last June. (In fact I received a number of very positive comments from the e-mail I sent to you all last year with a copy of his speech.) Jeff may also take some questions regarding GE, to the extent he can do so given publicly available information.

Jeff's biography can be viewed online.
