Richard Sandy Alderson joined the Mets in 2010 as the 12th General Manager in Mets franchise history. Sandy’s storied baseball career includes CEO of the San Diego Padres, consultant for the Baseball’s Commissioner for Latin America, MLB’s EVP of Baseball Operations and GM and President of the Oakland Athletics. Sandy also served as a Marine Infantry Officer for four years with a tour of duty in Vietnam.
