We’re rolling up our sleeves to give New York City a spring greening on Hands On New York Day. We’ll be revitalizing parks, gardens, and other public green spaces, making them cleaner, safer, and ready for summer. Deadline to sign up is April 12.

Dust off your pong paddles and brush up on your spin serve – Masters has made its way to NYC!   32 teams will compete for pong glory and bragging rights.  The game is four cup.  Ticket Cost gets you three hours of open bar and at least one game of four cup. Official rules, prizes and bracket to be announced. Paddles, balls and tables will be provided. Dartmouth Club members and non-members are welcome. Sign-up is first come, first served. Sign-up in advance as a coed team to compete or as a spectator. Your Dartmouth Club of New York City won the “2012 Metro Club of the Year” award at the annual Club and Affiliated Group Officers Weekend in Hanover, February 8-9, 2013. Congratulations to all the alumni/ae, volunteers and staff who make our club so successful. It’s time again for Dartmouth’s annual Entrepreneurship contest, with $50,000 in prizes available to the winners. To kick off the NYC portion of the contest, and initiate some new DEN activities for NYC, we’re having a party.
Come meet a new batch of Dartmouth founders from NYC area companies. Hear the “war stories” from past founders/co-founders of successful NYC companies and from DEN Founder and Tuck Professor Gregg Fairbrothers.  Most importantly, learn how you could become the next great Dartmouth founder, with the help of the $50,000 Dartmouth Ventures Entrepreneurship Contest.

The NYC chapter of the DEN will select one founding team from the NYC area (must have at least one Dartmouth-affiliated co-founder) to compete in the contest to be held in Hanover on April 5-6, 2013. NYC area submissions are due March 6th via email to den-newyorkcity@gmail.com)

The event will be held Thursday February 21, 7:00 PM-9:00 PM (program 7:30-8:00 PM) at the (Lone) Pine Tree Lodge at 591 1st Ave, between 34th and 33rd Streets.  The evening is being sponsored by the Dartmouth Club of New York (the parent organization of DEN NYC), and free appetizers and drinks will be provided.

Volunteer with other Dartmouth alumni at St Joseph’s Soup Kitchen on Saturday, March 9th from 9:30 AM to 3 PM.   They have room for a team of six, so first-come, first served. The soup kitchen is very centrally located at 371 Sixth Avenue in Greenwich Village. Volunteers are assigned to help with various duties, from prepping food and cooking. Volunteers will also serve food to the guests. No experience necessary!
