September 29, 2003 announcement
Dear Toronto Alumnae/i,
This is not a plea for money or endowment support!
A number of Dartmouth alums who are involved in the admissions interviewing process believe that there is a growing consensus to reincarnate a GTA Dartmouth Club. There is now a very interesting and diverse demographic mix of alums who live in this area.
The proposed rasion d'être for the Club is very simple: to provide a relaxed atmosphere for alums to dine with each other from time to time while listening to an invited speaker. The speakers, fellow alums or otherwise, would be chosen based on the interests of the Club members.
We are proposing to hold the first of these gatherings on November 11, 2003 at either lunch or dinner time in downtown Toronto. This is not an extravagant affair; the cost to members would be based on whatever the food costs.
PLEASE let us know ASAP if you would be interested in attending this event. Is lunch or dinner a better time for you? If there appears to be enough interest, we will lock in the time and place, and send along a confirmation of the event to all.
Regards,
Ken Frankel '77
