Access Alumni Email with your Email Program

This document explains how to set up email software other than BlitzMail to access your Vox Alumni Network email account. You can choose any program that uses the Post Office Protocol (POP3).

Email programs that use POP3 include some World Wide Web browsers like Netscape's Navigator/Messenger and Microsoft's Internet Explorer. There are also stand-alone email programs that use POP3 such as Eudora, Microsoft Outlook, QuickMail, Z-Mail, Pegasus Mail and many others. The email programs provided by national service providers (America Online, CompuServe, Prodigy) also use POP3. Finally, your Internet Service Provider may supply an email program as part of their service. Ask your ISP if their program uses POP3.

If you simply want to forward any email received at your Alumni Email account, follow these instructions.

To set up Outlook Express click here.
To set up Netscape Messenger click here.
