Awards

Beginning in 2003, a Webmaster of the Year has been recognized annually at the Class Officers Weekend (COW). In order to ensure fair evaluation of all candidates, the Webmasters Association established specific criteria for evaluating candidates as well as selecting a nominating committee. The procedures and criteria for choosing the webmaster of the year are listed below.

Webmaster of the Year Criteria for selection

Type of information, in addition to news of classmates:

  • News of campus events (i.e., sports championships, new trustees, admissions results, honorary degrees, commencement speakers, etc.)
  • Support to the Head Agent in annual Alumni Fund (provide status and possibly survey results)
  • Photographs of Class activities
  • Support to mini-reunion, reunion attendance (advance notices starting in April, reservation forms, etc.)
  • Timely biographical news about classmates and their families; pictures of classmates (how many, mini-reunions, family, reunions, etc.)
  • Support of treaturer regarding class dues; secretary, communication to president
  • Report on Class officers and Alumni Council meetings
  • News from Class presient and/or other Class officers

The type of support twelve months before a reunion

  • Reunion chairs regarding attendance (list names of classmates attending, reunion program)
  • Reunion giving chairs regarding reunion gift Campaign (montly report of financial progress)
  • A post reunion report (how many pictures, list new officers)

Two to three years before 25th and 50th reunions was there support

  • for larger reunion giving campaign
  • for reunion book questionnaire? (print questionnaire, list delinquents, print order form if book is for sale)
  • for reunion attendance? (list classmates who are coming)
  • for post reunion report? (pictures, new officers)
