Jack A. Charter of Nashua, N.H. died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008. He was 69. Jack was a loyal supporter of the Dartmouth College Fund, a dedicated volunteer, and highly regarded by his classmates.

Mr. Charter was born in Manchester, N.H., and graduated from Manchester West High School in 1957. He later attended Dartmouth College where his studies focused on mathematics.

Mr. Charter’s 30-plus year career in information technology included positions at Honeywell, Sanders Associates, and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.

He was an avid tennis player, automobile enthusiast, and active bowler. He greatly enjoyed vacations at the Maine seacoast and New Hampshire lakes region.

Mr. Charter was predeceased by his first wife, Sheila Duggan Charter, and his parents Allen and Gladys Charter.

He leaves his wife, Christine Curcio Charter; two sons, Adam Charter of Nashua and Gareth Charter of Needham; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Charter of Needham; stepdaughter, Emma Curtis of Boston; and three grandchildren, Ryan, Kathryn and Lily Charter of Needham.

His graveside service and burial will be held Wednesday, Nov. 12, 11:30 a.m., at Evergreen Cemetery, Nashua. Visiting hours are Tuesday, Nov. 11, 6 to 8 p.m., at Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua.
